Introduction to Operations Management - Metropolitan StateUniversity

Operations Management focuses on the production of goods and services in an organization. The "Operations Function" can be thought of as a transformation process. Inputs, such as material, labor, and capital, are transformed into outputs (goods and services). As a field of study, operations brings together many disciplines and provides an integrated view of business organizations. This course is introduces you to the various concepts and techniques of the operations function and to give you the tools and language to understand and manage the operations function for both manufacturing and service firms. (Have taught this course as Community Faculty since 1999, presently once or twice per year.)
